Each Sunday afternoon, before we settle in for a quiet Monday off, we have one last visitor who always comes to see us at La Renaissance. For just over a year now, a representative from Spread the Dough drops by our bakery every Sunday to pick up whatever fresh items we did not sell that day. The baked goods are taken to a local shelter, senior facility or food pantry and used to help feed those in need of a meal.

Spread the Dough relies on volunteers and residents to pick up unused goods from local bakeries and cafés and deliver them to those in need. They currently have chapters in several states on the east coast, including New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Virginia, and are working towards becoming a nationally recognized non-profit. La Renaissance is proud to be a part of their effort!
